Waikiki in the Wake of Dreams previewed in Washington D.C. at the National Geographic Society; premiered in Hawaii on Waikiki beach to an audience of 5,000 viewers, setting the precedent for what became the City of Honoulu's, "Sunset on the Beach" public movie screenings held monthly on Kuhio Beach.
